Our service ethic, which springs from the background of founder and principal, Steve Marion, is manifest in our team approach to providing services. Prior to founding Premier Design Group, Mr. Marion was a design manager for Wal-Mart, then the nation’s largest private land developer. He oversaw all aspects of building and site design and permitting for 200,000 sq. ft. buildings. There, he developed the team management and entrepreneurial skills needed for guiding Premier. Coordinating with more than 30 engineering companies, several top architectural firms, and the leading developers in 14-plus states from Texas to New Hampshire gave Mr. Marion a unique perspective on project management processes, especially in how they helped or hindered client communication, decision-making, and client satisfaction. He incorporated lessons learned into Premier’s service ethic. Mr. Marion and Premier’s employees together have more than 150 years’ experience in civil engineering. Several of the employees worked together for several years prior to the start of Premier, forming the mutual respect and efficient working relationships they have today. They bring a broad range of experience to the table, having worked on county and municipal government facilities including the Winfield-Foley Fire Station, schools, hospitals and healthcare facilities, retail, commercial, and other developments – all of which contributes to Premier’s wealth of knowledge and diversity of ideas. Premier is also thoroughly familiar with municipal, county, and state approval processes for construction documents.
